... Oops... Forgot.
SO! Back on the 23rd at some hour when I should have been in bed, I posted about a commission thing I was going to try.

I also said I would post with more information later, and I then I forgot.

Anyway: there are 6 colors of card stock that I currently have on hand. There's some nifty other colors I want to get eventually, but, this is it. Also, somewhere in TN I have some earthy tones, but... those are currently several states away. ^^;;;

Here are four of them: red, blue, green, and gray. Keep in mind, those may display differently, but you can at least get an idea.

This is the cream colored card stock I have.

The sixth color is white. I don't think it's necessary to scan that, but if you want to know the brightness of it, I can certainly take a look to let you know.

Now, cutting things for length and organization.

If you want one of these little commissions from me:
- A comment to give me a heads up saying "This is what I would like..." is good. That can establish right there if I can or can't do it.
- Keep in mind insane amounts of detail might not be possible. These are just a little over 5.5" long on the longer side, and 4.25" on the shorter one. These aren't pre-cut things, I cut them myself, so some sizes may vary a little. Multiple characters might be a bit difficult, but I have yet to try on this size of paper.
- If everything sounds good, then, I'll need an email with reference information (LJ comments sometimes get lost). My email is snowhawk @ avenstudios . net mezamashii[nospam]@yahoo.com. Making the email title "CARD STOCK COMMISSION" (yes, in big letters) will help me spot it and move it to the commission folder so I don't accidentally delete anything, or it won't get thought of as spam.
- In your email, tell me what color of card stock, if you want just the head and shoulders of the character or a full body view. If it's something where some clothes would be good, let me know what kinds of clothes to add. A general "t-shirt and jeans" type of description is fine. Otherwise, they're gonna be nekkid. (My usual non-detailed nudity, but still sans clothes.)
- I will do ONE rough sketch (akin to this, though it will be larger), and email it to you. If you think that will work out, then payment details can be worked out. I prefer PayPal. I will also accept money orders, checks (must clear before work is continued), and well-concealed cash (which is assumed to be sent at your own risk.)

Also, the nice thing about PayPal is I have this lovely little button on my user page...

Once payment is received/cleared, I will refine the sketch's line work to something along to lines of this. If all the final details are okay, I will ink it, color it, and send you a scan. If it's all good, then I'll send it off to you.

Some things to keep in mind:
- Because these are real media, I need to know before it is inked if something should be changed. If you need to take some time to say "I think (blank) should be..." then do so.
- Color references are a very GOOD thing. Multiple references are even better. If you or someone else has colored the character mentioned in real media and it was in Prismacolors, that's the best thing to provide. If I don't have a particular color on hand, I will hunt it down and use that, if that's the perfect color. (There are fewer markers than pencils, and some colors have been discontinued. If I exhaust all sources and I can't find it, then I will ask if there's a second choice.)
- If you need to see what a color will look like on the card stock you think you would like, I can provide that with no problem.
- The final product will be Prismacolor marker for a base, then shading and such done with Prismacolor pencils.

Personal drawing notes:
- Humans are difficult for me. I won't totally say I'm not going to draw them, but the human face doesn't usually turn out well for me.
- Equines are great. Those are right in the middle of my comfort zone.
- My dragons tend to look horse-ish. If you would like a different style, then I will try to get them to look not so horsey.
- Wings are a yes. Feathered and dragon/bat like.
- No sex. No detailed genitals. Nipples... Sure. Basically, I'm not comfortable drawing porn. I don't care how much you offer. (Unless it's like... some amount well over what I have ever charged for anything. We might talk then.)
- Something that looks kinky(please ignore the old art...) but doesn't fall into the "porn" category.
- I have no problem with things that are suggestive.

The important part: Pricing.
- Starting price is $13 US.
- I don't charge extra for PayPal.
- This includes the cost of getting it to you, via everyday, first class USPS.
- If you live outside of the US, I will get a price quote on sending it to you. If the cost is around a couple of dollars, I'm not going to stress over it. I don't recall it being that much.

I will offer shipping rates if you want it faster than standard mail (Priority or Express), I just need to get to the post office. Also, the USPS will be raising their rates on May 14, 2007. I will try not to change any of this, but we will see how things go.

Other stuff (Including this now because I realize I never have clarified some of this before):
I'm not going to go running around with your character, saying it's mine. When I post the final product in my gallery, you will be credited as the owner of the intellectual property. If you have a place you'd like me to link to, feel free to provide that.

Because my commission work tends the be the some of the best that I do, I will put it in with advertising things. I have active galleries on Side 7, FurAffinity, deviantArt, and Furry Art Pile. I also post some of my work to the /artist board on Fchan (currently down). If you don't want your character to show up on any or all of those sites, let me know. I don't have a problem leaving things out of my public galleries.

I don't like selling prints of other people's characters. It gets confusing on the legal end. However, if I decide to do a commission auction, I may use the art as a "This is what I can do."

Edit, 5.07pm: I changed the email address. I've been getting varying amounts of spam and I was supposed to have things mailed there from several people, and they either aren't getting through or I'm accidentially deleting them. >>
